City Hall and Community Center

The community center isn't just the building where we hold meetings. Originally built as the only schoolhouse in town, our community center is also our town hall, where the city offices are located.

After being nearly destroyed in 2017 by Hurricane Harvey, with the help of the Rebuild Texas grant, the building has been completely refurbished. The auditorium features the original stage from the old schoolhouse and there is also a fully functioning kitchen.

The community center is available to residents for private events. If you are interested in holding a private event, please call the city office at 361-529-6520 for rates and availability.
